I currently have a 4 camera system - Arlo Pros. WIth the basic (free) plan I know I can have up to 5 cameras.
If I purchase the doorbell camera, can I only add the single doorbell camera to a Smart plan and keep the rest on the free plan?

Yes. If you check your existing subscription and click on Change Plan you'll get a selection for SMart as a per camera choice.

@jguerdat you said "Yes. If you check your existing subscription and click on Change Plan you'll get a selection for SMart as a per camera choice."
Hate to say it but Arlo somehow screwed this up. It will only let you have five cameras max and will include your new camera as one of the five even if you buy a per camera smart plan
