Security light will not record

I recently bought my cameras. It had 3 cameras and 2 security lights. I could set up the cameras but the security lights was set up but it would not record anything. It would on only alert you. Do I have to have a plan for the lights to work. This was a a package deal through qvc.

You have to set up a mode with rules for the lights that include recording from the cameras. This is called cross-triggering where one device detects and cause another device to act. Thus, the light detects, turns on and also causes a camera to record. To add the camera to the lights' rules, edit your mode and use the Add Device selection to add the camera action.
