It looks like there is no option to have the motion sensor/light on the Security Light (I know, it's EOL) trigger the Arlo Pro 2 in the app.
Seems ridiculous to me as I get notifications, so I thought I'd post here if someone has figured a way around that?

Not sure what you mean by "Security Light". If you mean the old lights that use the "Light bridge", then you can get that to trigger the Pro 2.
Start with a Mode for the Light bridge.
- If Motion on Shed light
- Add Device
- Pro 2
Proceed as usual.
Does that get what you want?

Have you tried adding the Bridge to the set of Arlo devices?
It has a habit of going AWOL here.

Do you see it as an option when you add a device rule?

No ability to use it as a trigger, or be a trigger for another device's rule.

When I go into the rules for a mode, I can add a rule for the light. That rule lets me add "record a video" as an action (specifying what camera I want to make that recording on).
It'd be useful to know how far you can go down that path.
- If the light is not in your rule list, are you seeing the light as an option when you add a rule to your existing modes?
- When you edit that rule, are you able to add an action to record a video?

So this is my backyard camera. I added a rule that when it records, record a video on my front yard camera too.
There's a list of devices I can trigger with a camera activation.
The light's entry in that UI shows no ability to add any rule?

So you have the Arlo Spotlight listed as a rule in Arm Away.
When I go into that rule, I see
When I then "add an Action", I see
I check "record a video" (as shown), and then press "next" in the upper right. That gives me a list of cameras, so I can chose which one records.

Taking that one stage further, this is the screen I get to:
I also have the light set to trigger other cameras and a floodlight.

Maybe try deleting the rule for the light, and then add it back.
No need to post the rule for the camera, this has to be set up in the rule for the light.

Yes.
Go back to the first message.
@tripmaster asked:
"option to have the motion sensor/light on the Security Light (I know, it's EOL) trigger the Arlo Pro 2"
That's the clue. The Security Light triggers the Arlo Pro 2.

Of course. Now add it back by pressing ""Add Device Rules" at the bottom of the rule list.
