I upgraded the app as advised and now my cameras are offline. Is there a problem with the upgrade?

Update: The cameras just came back online today. So all seems to be okay now.

Going forward you should wait a few weeks before upgrading so the bugs can be ironed out.

A few weeks? I waited several years before signing up for Arlo Secure (Arlo Smart) and it still has bugs. Notifications simply do not work correctly.
OP, give it another couple years, maybe arlo will fix the bugs by then.

Really? Come on Arlo… you’ve got to do better. In that case, I’m thinking of changing to a new system. There are lots of options.

Great to hear.
While arlo uses a test bed to prove the new products, they invariably fail in the real world and generally takes them a few days to find it and roll out patches to all their servers. Hence why you wait for things to settle before updating if you get a choice.
Never buy the first of new model car I say, always the last of the previous batch.
