Unable to play locally recorded events on hub VMB4540r4 since recently .

As of today , I can no longer play locally recorded events on my hub VMB4540. 

I restarted my router ,hub ,and cell phone , as  well as trying another flash drive . 

When I try to play,  the Arlo Secure App fails immediately and closes.  An error msg identifies a bug exists in the app .

I am aware the app was updated around Jan 10 and I believe the latest version is 5.4.0_28783. 

 

Is it possible the app contains bugs?  Anyone else have this issue ?

as of Jan 26 , I am now able to replay locally recorded events on my VMB4540 HUB .

I noticed that  ( maybe  coincidentally or hopefully purposely ) release  5.4.2_28786 released  of. JAN  17 seems to have fixed the problem I was having.  

If the problem was repaired by Arlo  ....thank you!! 

It is important that full quality control measures be applied to any future releases .

I have also updated to Android ARLO app 5.4.2_28786.  I can confirm that I can continue to play local recordings from my VMB5000 SmartHub.  At least not getting worse (like what happened with 5.4.0).

 

Has it fixed the unreliable geofencing?  Dunno.   The release note of 5.4.2 doesn't say anything important.

 

If anyone has tried this out, appreciate if you could share your findings.
