I have what I think is a simple setup but for some reason it's not working correctly. I have 5 cameras (3 outdoor and 2 indoor). All are connected to wifi directly, no basestation. I would like 2 of the outdoor cameras to be active from 6 am to 11 pm and then all 5 camera to be active overnight from 11 pm to 6 am. Right now I have the 2 outdoor cameras as Arm Home and the 5 cameras to Arm Away. Device rules are set to Motion: Record and Notify for each camera. Arm Home only has the 2 outdoor camera set to this and Arm Away has all 5. I have created 2 automations using Schedules, Daytime (Everyday, start at 6 am, change mode to Arm Home) and Overnight (Everyday, start at 11 pm, change mode to Arm Away). Under each mode where you are able to select Automations I have Daytime turned on for Arm Home (Overnight is not selected) and for Arm Away I have Overnight turned on (Daytime is not selected). Seems straight forward. Daytime seems to work but Overnight does not seem too. At 6 am I see a mode change to Arm Home in Feeds. At 11 pm I do not see a mode change to Arm Away. How would you set this up? The old app used to be so easy to schedule, you would set days of week, start/end time and what camera you want active. Thanks in advance.

Apologies but not really understanding. What is the best way to set this up based on what I am looking for? Would you be able to provide step by step instructions if not too much trouble? I would greatly appreciate the help.
There are two ways that work. Neither is really best.
The simplest is to enable Daylight in Arm Away, and Overnight in Arm Home.
The principle is actually fairly simple. You want Daylight to switch from Arm Away to Arm Home. So it needs to run when the system is in Arm Away. Enabling the automation in Arm Away tells the system to do that.
Daylight doesn't need to run in Arm Home, because it switches to Arm Home. So it has no effect if the system is already in Arm Home.

This looks backwards.
If you want the system to switch from Arm Away to Arm Home in the morning, then Daytime needs to be enabled in the Arm Away mode (because the system is in Arm Away mode when you want the automation to run).
Similarly, if you want the system to switch from Arm Home to Arm Away at night, then Overnight needs to be enabled in Arm Home.

Thank you! I'll reverse it and see what happens. So do not have both automations selected in each mode, correct? It did seem counter intuitive to have both selected. I'll give an update when I know. Did I make this too complicated or is the setup correct?

Normally you only want the automations enabled in the modes you want them run (not the modes you want to switch to). So the setup I suggested is correct.
In your particular case, it is actually ok to enable them in both modes.
