it still fine few days ago (early May 2025) but the local storage function isn’t work on app. We are suppose to have cloud/local button for choosing when we are in home network. But this button is now disappear and we have no way to access the local storage video thru app. Can anyone help?
we have tried reinstall the app but no luck

Do you see "Feed" and "Dashboard" in your app menu? Or do you instead see "Library"?

Android or iOS? I just responded to someone whose app was updated to 6.0.2 (which isn't available for Android yet) that has the same/similar issue.

I saw feed and dashbcard. It was supposed can see cloud and local at FEED. But nothing can no longer see it now

6.0.2 was released May 1. It is running on my iPhone (and I do see the "Local" tab on the "Feed" Screen).

- pressing "Storage Settings"
Do you see local recordings there?
there is local recording there but can’t see any video for download
it only mentioned
storage status
available storage
best local recording (for choosing)
overwrite automatically (for choosing)
nothing else unlike before I can see the video clips

Mini also using 6.0.2 was released May 1.
It is running on my iPhone and IPad, Local can’t be found at feed anymore.

I am seeing the local recordings - both on the base station storage page and on the Feed page. This is with 6.0.2.
I suggest uninstalling the app and then re-installing it.

I have also just updated to 6.0.2 and still under storage setting, there are no local recordings displayed
Under the device 'no event' is shown
Under Feed no local tab
Stopped working about 5 days ago was previously on 6.0.0
I specifically do not have a plan as I only want local recordings. Is a plan now required to see local recordings?
I have ejected the HDD, and it is getting all recordings saved to it, so this is specifically an issue in the app not showing them
I also uninstalled and reinstalled with the same result

I started having the same problem, on iPhone with the app update. If I select feed, Cloud and Local will sometimes appear but now even if I see the Local option it will say there are no events. If I open and close the app a number of times eventually the events will populate. If I close the app and re-open it they will be gone again. I also can not access them by going directly into the base station as it just shows the record locally button which is on but no events.

Hello oneyellowlab,
Thanks alot and I have same experience with you. Sometime the cloud and local will appear at Feed and most of the time it wont appear. 😞 I choose Local when it is appear but nothing inside. Seem no video or anything there.
I tried taking out the mircoSD to my computer and can see the videos are there and the cam and recording are working well. But just local video cannot be seem thru app. Is it a common bugs after the latest update?

No.
There are two things you might try. The first is to uninstall the app and then re-install it. It sounds like you might have already tried that.
The second (a PITA) is to remove the smarthub and cameras from the account and then add them back. If you do this, you might as well do a paper-clip reset on the smarthub while you are at it.

It resume normal after the app down this morning. Duno if Arlo has done some updates

Yes this does seem to be working again today, some change must have been made in the Backend as the App version is unchanged
