I'm trying to grant my wife access to my account but everytime she follows the email directions It just tells her to add a device and set up a subscription and doesn't show an invite or anything from me

The invite email should tell her to create an account, not set up a device. She can't because you've already set them up.

 

Try using a computer to click on the emailed link - that seems to work better than using a mobile device.
