I have automations set up for my iPhone when arriving and leaving at my home locations, which is set correctly. The 'leaving' should set to "armed away" and the ''arriving" should set to 'standby.' But neither is working. Nothing happens when I arrive or leave. The mode never changes unless I do it manually. This new app is a disaster.

Thanks. Not exactly intuitive but I'll see how it works when I arrive home!

Also, the Leave automation should switch the mode to Arm Away in the action list.  Arrive can either switch the mode to Arm Home or Standby - your choice.  If you are also scheduling the cameras, you will sometimes need to switch the mode manually when you get home (depending on the schedule and your arrival time).

I suspect the enable lists are incorrect.  Can you post screenshots of "leaving" and "arriving"?

The enable list is right under the automation name.

"leave home" is only enabled in Arm Away mode.  Which means it will not run when the system is in "Arm Home" or "Standby".  It should be always enabled.  You can fix that by going into the "Arm Home" and "Standby" screens and enabling that automation there.

On the other hand, "arrive home" is always enabled.  So if you have two people using geofencing, it will run again when the second person returns home.  It should only be enabled in "Arm Away".

Thanks for your help. Here'snother one. I have two ARLO GO cameras in another house. The geofence works fine but I can't set any device rules for the different modes. Consequently, the cameras always record when there is motion, regardless of the mode (standby, home, or away). The "Add Device Rules" box is not accessible - trying to click on it does nothing in both the app or with a browser. How do I get the camera not to record when in the "home" mode?"Screenshot 2025-03-14 at 13.01.37.png

Did you share the 2nd house cameras to your main account? That would likely be the issue - you'd need to log into the account to make such changes.

Thanks. How do I share the second home to the first home? I can see adding users under the app, but I don’t see anything about sharing the cameras to a second home account. Thanks.

Are you seeing these cameras on your device page?  If you are, then the cameras are already in your existing account.

The devices show up in my Second home account page. They made me pay for a separate account for that home. Geo fencing works, but I am unable to disable any of the cameras, consequently, they record when there is motion, regardless of the mode that the house is in.

This is all happening in your second account? Or just when accessing shared cameras from the first account?

Also, you are getting recordings even when the account mode is set to standby?

it’s only happening on the second account. Everything works fine on the first account, but the second account just has Arlo go cameras because there was no Wi-Fi available. It seems that the go cameras don’t function with the new app as well as the other cameras do. And yes, I’m getting recordings, regardless of what mode I said, either manually or through Geo fencing. Both Go cameras record motion in all modes. There is no access the the settings as there is with the other cameras that are on wifi.

I've never owned that particular camera, but I suspect you are correct.

Thanks.  Any suggestions on where to go next to figure this out?
