Within the last few weeks, both the android app and windows program no longer allow editing of the security mode and show a perpetual "Getting status" message. (Prior to this error, I have not had issues with my Arlo over several years of operation.) I have powered down the base station etc, none of these attempts have corrected the problem.
Again, this is on both the smartphone app and windows program accessing Arlo Security.
Anyone have a solution?

What cameras and base models? Try removing one camera and re-sync it to see if that helps.

FYI, only one camera. What's the procedure for removing and reducing?

There's a remove control in both the app and my.arlo.com.
After that you can either use "add device" or use the push-button sync method (pressing sync briefly on the base, and then on the camera. The camera should be about 3 feet from the base).
