I have an Arlo Secure Multi-camera plan with 5 cameras (one Pro 4 and four Pro) and a wireless doorbell camera.
I am very disappointed with the recent upgrade to the new Arlo App. The upgrade removed my ability to create custom modes and to set a schedule which enables custom modes at different times of day. I used custom modes and schedules extensively in the old App. According to the Arlo community conversations "Forced to upgrade to loose custom modes" and the conversation "Combining Geofencing with Schedules in the app version released July 2025", I am limited to just the three modes (Away, Home, Standby) and can only partially enable the activations of some cameras on a schedule which was easily handled using custom modes and schedules in the old app.
Is there a way to downgrade back to the old version of the App? My newest camera is an Arlo Pro 4, so the old version of the App should still work with all my cameras. If I can downgrade to the old version of the App, then I will not purchase any new Arlo cameras (which would force the upgrade) until the new App provides similar functionality to the old one.
Basically, what I want to do is:
- when in Home mode, be able to enable recordings on only some of my outdoor cameras for part of the daytime and enable recordings on most other outdoor cameras for the night time.
- when in Away mode I want to enable different cameras on a schedule, as well.
The simplest solution for me is to be able to downgrade to the previous version of the App. Does anyone know if, or how, I can do this?
I could then at least stay in the old App version and not buy any new Arlo cameras until the new App provides similar functionality.

To clarify one thing: The app has supported both user interfaces for over 2 years. Which interface you get depends on how Arlo has set up your account in their cloud. Rolling back to an old version of the app will not change anything.
Also, Arlo is slowly (but surely) migrating everyone to the new interface. Even if you were able to convince them to switch you back, that would only be temporary.

Arlo says they are adding back custom modes into the new interface. Hopefully they will do that soon.

"Do this soon"? How about they get CUSTOM MODES working BEFORE they force me to load the new 6.3.0 version which is NOT an upgrade. I can't log into my cameras as of 4 hours ago when they started to force the new version update. I have three base stations and use custom modes so I can have cameras working in areas where I need Wi-fi extenders. This new version just made my 14 cameras worthless! Why did Arlo start out as a great company and then become such a stinker.

It was obviously a huge miss by Arlo, and I've said that many times here. I don't work for them or represent them in any way.
FWIW, the app has supported both the "Feed" and the "Library" interfaces for over two years. Many people using the current app are still seeing "Library". So simply updating the app doesn't change which one you get. That depends on how Arlo has your account set up in their cloud.

I’ve had Arlo for over 5 years. I’ve even installed systems for friends and family. I was a huge Arlo fan! The new update has ruined everything. I’ve spent countless hours in chat windows and email “Cases” the answer is there’s no fix. Arlo is committed to the new subscription model and limited flexibility in terms of schedules and modes.
I’ve surely invested thousands in Arlo. But after much research, I’m dumping Arlo completely (and apologizing to friends and family) and moving to Eufy. Great cameras, great flexibility in modes and schedules and best of all NO SUBSCRIPTION! Everything is stored locally so can access it any time. Good riddance to Arlo!
