Problem: When setting up the Arlo Safe App for the first time I Unable to enable 2 step verification using a NEW device (phone) and SMS text.
Error Msg on iPhone:
"Verification method already exists"
When I get to the Add SMS Verification I entered the verification code but it did not take it. I am back at the "Add SMS Verification" Screen. When I add my phone number I receive an error message that states: Verification method already exists. I am unable to continue past that screen.
Solution: If you have never enabled 2 step verification with your Arlo account on a NEW device/phone you MUST:
1. Enable push notifications from Arlo Secure
2. Accept the 2 step verification via PUSH NOTIFICATIONS not the SMS.
Ensure that Arlo Secure or Arlo Safe push notifications are enabled. You must enable push notifications from Arlo Secure to use your trusted device to verify an account login from a new device.
Once I completed this step it worked! Problem solved by Customer
