Thinking of adding an Arlo Q to inside our house (already have Arlo Pro outside) but I was wondering if anyone has experience with having your cats activate the camera's all the time. Is it possible to set the sensor low enough that our cats would'nt be tripping it all the time but still strong enough to activate for a burglar?

I was thinking of adding it to our family room but I know our 2 cats spend a lot of time (sleeping of course) in this room.

Thanks for any tips you might have!

The exact sensitivity setting could be key as well as the positioning. Try to aim it where a person would be but not a cat. The Q cameras can set zones to detect motion so might be a better fit.

My mistake - you're talking Q cameras, not wireless. Use the zone capability in Settings, My Devices, your Q to define the active zone(s) and use those zones in your rules.

Thanks for the help. I ended up buying an Arlo Q and setting it up. I found the zone option that you suggested and placed it above any possible cat level, assuming they don't jump onto the kitchen counters the minute we leave the house!

Going away for the weekend so it'll be interesting to see if it gets set off by them.
