Could some one tell me the lead lenght for the USB Cable, from the power source to ArloQ?

Right at 8 feet/2.5 meters.

Can I use a shorter cable ?

Don't see why not. It's just a power cable.

When I measured it with a tape I got 9'9" (twice)

Ok, 3 meters. 😄 I didn't actually pull the cable out to measure - just an estimate. Thanks for the exact measurement.
