I bought 2 cameras to keep an eye on my vacation home when I was away. For years, I have been able to see what has been happening with my "history". Now all I can see is what is currently occurring. What good are cameras if they don't record anything?  Is your product "new and improved" if you take a months recording off two cameras and now want $15 per camera to get any recording availability?
