I tried out the cvr feature with my 2 arlo q's when I first bought them ( about a year ago). It was unusable at that point - recordings just being black, no sound frozen or pixellated video and laggy performance. For it to be usable I had to reboot the cameras once a day. If I use on demand triggered recordings they are fantastic.

Well I tried it again this week - and every single problem. persists. . The one thing I have piece. I have. eliminated as a potential problem is my isp, a year ago it was Comcast, now it is AT&T fiber. I wrote to support a year ago and received the typical netgear horrid support.

Anyone else have cvr and have it work well? Just looking for other experiences before I dump my entire arlo system and go with nest.

Jguerdat...

I wasn't in live view, initially. I was saying that I went to live view to see if it was even working at all and it still didn't trigger even though I was walking right past it. I have it set for motion and sound but it still is garbage

Did you try the steps I suggested in my prior post?

So it turns out there is an issue with CVR. They had me cancel my subscription and said they would be in touch when it was fixed. Once I cancelled, it works great on triggered recordings and manual..oh, and magically my echo show now works to show the arlo Baby and the arlo Q, which NEVER worked before. So CVR is just broken and the root of many problems, it seems... and it's a KNOWN issue to netgear support.
