My phone arlo app keeps trying to find the arlo

Why is it i can download the ap but the app doesnt want to find my device.

Assuming you're trying to set up a Q, there can be various reason. The phone needs to be on the same WiFi (it may help to also be set to use the 2.4GHz band of your WiFi). If you have a router that uses the same SSID for both bands (Netgear calls it Smart Connect) that can be the problem. Again, setting your phone to use only the 2.4GHz band may be useful but changing the router settings to separate the two bands, using separate SSIDs, or just turning off the 5GHz WiFi may be the trick.
