We have an ARLO Pro set up and working but can't add the Arlo Q for the indoor camera. We did not plug it into the wireless base station, as the guide told us not to. Any ideas? We get through all of the installation steps and then it sits at about 2/3 complete in the final step and then times out.  Thank you!

The Q uses only your home WiFi. The biggest issue is the SSID and passphrase shouldn't have special characters in them until the firmware has updated. You may need to change them or activate the router's guest network with bland characters. When the firmware update you should be able to switch back if you desire.

Tell us exactly what steps you go through and where it stops, with what error message or indica.

Other than above , usu a full reset of the Q allows it to sync...

hold in the reset for ten secs till the led flashes, than attempt sync again as normal

We did try to do the reset, which did not resolve our problem. However, it was a great suggestion and I am sure it works for many. Thank you for the suggestion.
