Years ago couple 4 Arlo Q and Arlo Q Plus cameras. I used them very little and then uninstalled them. Now I would like to install them again, but I can't: everything seems to proceed regularly until the camera sounds after framing the Q code, but then the App can't detect the camera. Maybe Arlo decided to eliminate these old cameras? Help me, please: I paid you over 200 Euros each!
Thanks to those who will help me.
Anni fa coppia 4 videocamere Arlo Q e Arlo Q Plus.

Some legacy cameras have been said to have firmware that's too old to be able to connect now. I don't know of a workaround if that's what's happening here.

You're right, I also think that's the problem... I have to throw in the trash over 1200 Euro of Arlo cameras never used. Of course I'm wrong, but I might think that this is also a way to cancel old free cloud plans and get new cameras to be purchased. Anyway, I will never buy Arlo again.

Hi @OXO
Do you have any info/timeframe when the devices were:
1. last added successfully?
and
2. when they were removed?
Thanks

Hi. They were successfully uploaded to the App about 10 years ago: I have never used them.
Unfortunately they were removed a month ago and by mistake the firmware update was not done. I think I will never be able to get them back... Money thrown in the trash. 😪

I already have 2 ARLO Q. I add a new one. The installation went smoothly. When I add to the APPS, I couldn’t find the new ARLO Q on my phone, computer or iPad. The blue light of ARLO Q was flashing. I already checked the router, it is "WPA2-PSK [AES]". The strangest thing is in the router, I see the presence of the new ARLO Q, please help me.

To those who have offered me suggestions many thanks for yout time and input.
It almost certainly is the case that a working Arlo Q with non-current firmware cannoty connect to the backend platform. This makes it useless.
@OXOyou are not the only one affected. I have same issue with 3 cameras just gathering dust. Waste of money.
It seems we're not alone. Arlo have a terrible reputation on Trustpilot.

The old Arlo Q and Arlo Q plus cameras had free lifetime cloud for 30 days... And Netgear doesn't like that: this outdated firmware could be a way to eliminate the problem.

7 days, not 30. And they still do have that.

Netgear has nothing to do with it. They divested Arlo back in 2018, and have no ownership stake in the company.

This is limited to old inventory cameras that were never installed. So not enough of them to reduce the Cloud storage costs.
That said, it would be good if Arlo could fix the problem before the Q/Q+ cameras go end of life in Jan 2025. But I have no idea how easy that is. Q's were introduced back in 2015, and there have been a lot of changes since then.
