how to connect to 5GH wifi network

Well, this has been an issue in the past.....

Some systems just for unknown reason just don't seem to work on 5ghz.

( and others do )

Main points to remember;

1) the SSID and/or passphrase having "illegal" characters in them.

2) be sure to use WPA2.
