I noticed in the settings for my new Arlo Q that there are 5 choices for resolution, from 240p all the way to 1080p.
Since this camera runs on electricity, why would anybody NOT select the best resolution of 1080p? Has it got something to do with how much 1080 will affect storage? Otherwise, why not use the best quality....?

Normally it is a bandwidth issue. Some lower speed internet connections may struggle to send the 1080p video to the Netgear servers. Add in a few more cameras and you can saturate a slow home broadband connection.
Also, not all people need the HD video... Sometimes SD is fine, so it is nice to have that option.
