I cannot seem to get Arlo Q push to talk to work on my iPhone 6. I have the latest version of the Arlo app (2.1.0) and iOS (9.3.2) and have allowed the app to access the microphone when promted and microphone is checked in iPhone settings. But when I push to talk in the app the mic icon goes purple I speak but no output from the Arlo speakers.

I have tried on both Wifi and LTE to no success, I am not getting any connection error messages in the Arlo app.

Push to talk works fine on my iPad and Firefox browser but not iOS 9 on iPhone 6.

This is a real pain as push to talk was the main reason I bought the Arlo.

Any ideas why push to talk is not working on iPhone???

jamie-hk,

Is the speaker on your Arlo Q enabled? You can check these settings by logging in to your Arlo account and navigating to Settings > select your Arlo Q > audio settings > make sure the microphone/speaker toggles are enabled. Speaker volume can also be adjusted from this screen.

Jamie,

When i select my Arlo Q camera in settings, I only see an option to change the name of the camera. Am i doing something wrong? I also would like to use the camera audio from phone or computer but the microphone is not lit up.

trumbulhockeygu,

In addition to the camera name field there are also toggles for Speaker and Microphone. Make sure these toggles are enabled to utilize the audio features of the Arlo Q.

On my iPhone 6s+ it doesn't even ask to use the microphone (Arlo Q Plus), it just tells me I need to enable it (but ambient/general sound from the camera side works fine - the mics on the cameras themselves seem to be ok). But in Privacy settings for camera or microphone, Arlo is not listed to enable. No amount of uninstall and reinstall Arlo is working, either. This really inflames me, it was a huge feature I wanted to use while on vacation, but here I am on vacation, unable to &?!%^^+^% use the feature. I'm really sick of most everything tech-related not working right...it's getting pathetic, and worse, it seems. I dropped $1000 for this (and SD cards for the cameras)?!??!??
