no matter where I place the Arlo Q, it doesn't connect. I am in the same room with two Arlo Q's now, one has full signal and works great, the other won't connect. they are three feet away from one another.

I would do a reset of the Q...hold in the reset button for aprox ten secs till the front led flashes..
re-sync and see if that fixes it

I would do it again, remove the Q camera from the base ( use REMOVE DEVICE ) and then bring it back as if new ( add new device )....
If it fails again, it may be hardware, Contact Netgear Support ( or if recently purchased, exchange )
