unable to add Arlo base station to my account even when on same network. I see only Amber light. when i try to reset it for 10 s nothing happend no flashing amber light from any led. amber light just keeps on amber. no green lights. please help. tried connecting with customer support they are saying to open ports 80 and 443 using port checker.

The ports don't normally need any twiddling - home routers leave them open by default.

 

Which base do you have? Look at the label on the bottom for VMBxxxx. If you have a base with more than one LED, you should see green for power and Internet and the Camera LED should be off or solid amber.

Agreed.  Unfortunately support offers this advice far too often.
