how do I record previous footage that expires soon after 30 days on USB permanently

I have important footage that I like to keep beyond the 30 days expiry date. I had not usb backup installed until now. Many thanks for your kind advice. Sorry I am a newcomer

From Library,pick files,then just download ( bottom right )...it saves to the local device

Thanks for that. I figured that out previously. I can save pictures on my computer hard drive or an external USB, but not on the base station if no USB was attached prior the recording.

I have another question, can the base station run on a wireless network only, when no wired router is available at a remote location?

You can use the base on a WiFi-only network by using a WiFi extender that has an Ethernet port.
