hi,

wondering how i go about recording on a hard drive? Do I just plug a usb into the port or is there set up requiored? When it is full does it auto write over the old recordings?

You will find a speed stick is easier to manage for the USB ports....

format it in fat32 ( you can do it in the program ) and there are options to overwrite or stop when it is full.... A 32gb will be plenty. ( max can be 2TB )

 

you can find these in the base settings

 

remember that this Is a backup drive and the speedstick must be ejected and put into computer to view

so i just go to orffcieworks and ask for a speedstick?

How do I format it as suggested? Do I plug it into the base station? Do I need to use the app?

Go to office works and ask for a speed stick or Flash drive. or thumbdrive...many names but the same

( buy a good name brand ) about 32GB or 64GB

Plug into the back of arlo base ( pro or pro2 model base ; will not work on original arlo base )

go to settings/base look for local storage

click on " > "  ( on web is easier )

see screen below, read the FAQs on usb drive
