We just purchased this system, and so far it's great. We have created the account with my email address, but my wife and I both have the apps on our phones. The problem is that only one of us can use the app at a time. I got a warning that there was movement at my house, and I went to check the app, but I had been logged out because my wife was already checking on her phone.

I know you can give other people limited access, but can I set her up as another admin with her own email account? Or would she only be able to have limited permissions?

No, there is only one primary user per accout

In order to both view at the same time and NOT knock each other off, One of you will have to be a "Guest"

This is under SETTINGS>GRANT ACCESS ( add guest )

While you can give the guest most of the admin functions, it will not be 100%, IMO, most of those missing would not be needed in a trigger event type action where you really just want to see what is happening.

Thanks for the reply. I would assume that as a "guest" she would not be able to arm or disarm the system, right? Because I would like us to both have that ability, if possible.

Be sure to give the guest account admin privileges by using the Allow Access Rights slider.  It's not full control like the master account but it's close.

Friends who are granted access rights can do the following:

  • Play and pause video footage
  • Record video footage
  • Mute the speaker
  • Enter full-screen view
  • View live footage
  • Zoom and drag video footage
  • Control brightness
  • Access and change modes
  • View motion detection statuses
  • Manually record
  • Take snapshots
  • Favorite, share, download, and delete video footage

Friends without access rights can do the following:

  • Play and view library content
  • View live footage
  • Zoom and drag video footage
  • Control brightness
  • Enter full-screen view
