That depends entirely on what you have (or buy) for a UPS and also what you have for a USB drive, if you attach local storage.  I used an APC BE 425M and I expect it would last a few hours if I only have the base station plugged into it.  I have a whole house generator, so I only need it to hold for a few seconds before power will be restored.

If you needed a lot of runtime on battery, you would need to research the various UPS models to find one that could operated efficiently on a light load like the Arlo Base Station and see if you can add batteries, if you need a super long runtime.  APC offers some 1000 VA or 1400VA models that can have extra batteries added, but I'm not sure how well they regulate power on extremely light loads.

You need ALL your network equipment plugged into the UPS or things go downhill quickly. Without your modem and router plugged in with the base, you will still lose videos since you'll have no access to the Internet.

My calculations for a 750VA UPS shows ~18 hours of runtime. That because I measured the current draw using a Kill-A-Watt  and used that info for the math. It may well be shorter but if it's more than an hour or so I'll be using the generator anyways.
