What are the proper settings to extend the battery life?

I do not need emails but merely want to use the cameras to view the interior spaces.

As in live view only? Restrict total number of minutes of recording and live viewing to 5 minutes per day or less. The less it is accessed, the better the battery life.

Probably too late but you may find an Arlo Q camera suits indoors better and has permanent power so no need to charge batteries

For your Arlo Pro cameras, go into the settings menu for the camera and click Video Settings. This will give you 3 options of Best Video / Optimised / Best Battery Life. Obviously the latter gives the best battery life
