Video delay. Hearing sound but screen consistently blacked out for the first 2-3 seconds of clip

Is anyone else seeing a delay in playing video clips with the new app?
I hear sound but the screen is consistently blacked out for the first 2-3 seconds of every clip.

Are you seeing this in the web interface also (or in downloaded clips)?  It seems to me that this is more likely an issue with the recording itself.

Yes, the recordings themselves.
Never happened with the legacy app though.

The recordings aren't made by the app, so the app can't be the cause.  The timing is coincidental.  It could be linked to camera firmware updates though.  Another (less likely) possibility is that there is packet loss on the connection.

 

Try restarting the base station and the cameras (removing batteries and reinserting).  Another thing you can try is removing one camera from the base, and then resyncing it.  See if the resynced camera still has the problem.

 

Also, if your base station supports USB storage, you can try connecting a USB stick to it.  Then see if the recordings on the USB stick show the same problem.

 

If resyncing a camera doesn't resolve it, then you probably should contact support.
