I am having to enter a code for the two-step verification every 2 days on my computer using Chrome to log in to view the camera.  It used to be every 2 weeks.  I am not sure what is happening, nothing has changed on my end.  My Chrome is up to date.  Any suggestions?  This is frustrating.  Also, it is only with my laptop.  Thank you for any help!

Have you tried clearing the browser cache for Arlo.com? Click on the icon just to the left of the URL to do this.

Is this what you are referring to?  delete data?

Sorry, I snipped the page, however, I can't find a paperclip to attach it.  I tried with the insert photos but it didn't work.

I get a page that has usage and the top line 81.5 kb 2 cookies    then delete data.  Is this where I delete?

I posted the question yesterday about the data page, however, it didn't send.  I just sent it to you to see if this is what you are referring for me to do.  Thank you for your help.  I will be waiting for an answer, I wish I could screenshot the page for you but like I said, I couldn't find any paperclip to do so.

There's no "paperclip" for attaching screenshots - use either the camera icon above the reply text box or "Drag and drop here or browse files to attach" section below the text box. Make sure your image is named .jpg, not .jpeg, or .PNG.

As for clearing cache and cookies, this link should help:

I did try that camera icon and my file is PNG.  However, it doesn't work.  I clear history, cache, all the time.  If I don't, I can't load Arlo.  So, since I can't attach the screenshot this way, I guess I will have to do the two step every two days I log in.  It always has a yellow banner on the top saying 'time out'.  Thank you for trying to help.

@b_k - You can post PNGs, and yours does seem to be in your public Album.  I am re-posting it here:

What device are you using - tablet, phone, Windows PC, Mac PC, Chromebook???

What browser are you using?

I finally figured out what format I needed to attach.  I didn't read your post correctly.  So sorry.  Not an easy time, but no excuse for stupidity!  I hope this works so you can see what I am going to delete if I am correct.  arlo data.JPG

It looks like you are going into "cookies and site permissions" in edge.

Try going into "Delete Browsing Data" and then choose "select what to clear".  Choose "cookies" and "cached images and files".  You can keep the other stuff.

Sorry, that was poor phrasing on my part.

Hello, I don't use edge for arlo, I only get my email with that browser.  I use Chrome and delete the browsing history, cache, cookies alot, but lately when I open arlo, it first went to the screen to log in bypasing the initial screen.  That worked for a while, then it came up that time request with yellow banner across the top and from there I would have to get the code every two days.  I can hit the back button to get the first screen, but I still have the two step every two days.

Not sure if you got my screenshot after I finally had the correct format of jpg?

Ok. Edge gives the same screen you posted with Chrome.

You are going into "Privacy and Security" and then "Site Settings".  I am instead suggesting that try going into "Delete Browsing Data".  That let's you delete cached files, not just cookies.

There are several things that can speed up the 7-day timeout - including rebooting the PC and clearing the cookies.  I haven't seen the timeout consistently change to 2 days though.

I think the reason you thought I was using edge for viewing of arlo is because I respond to this from my email which is on edge.  When I view Arlo, I open Chrome and use that one.  I clear everything in Chrome except for passwords, which includes history, cache, cookies.  That screenshot I sent is from Chrome clicking on the icon to the left of the URL as you mentioned to do.  I didn't clear data as of  yet.  Waiting to see if you think it will fix this every 2 day having to enter a code.  I do realize that when I clear cache, etc, it was prompt for the new code in the verification.

I was just looking at your screenshot.  I see the same screen layout when I go into the Edge settings and look at the my.arlo.com site settings.

You didn't say if I should clear the data on that top line that I sent the screenshot.  However, my night vision stopped working last night/ am and I am dead in the water now.  I have tried everything I know other than taking the camera apart to try and fix.  This is a refurbished one they had sent me in replacement of my original one.  This one is a couple years old.  Going forward, would this fix the two step verification if I clear the data on the page I sent to you?

I am attaching the screenshot of the screen I get when I open Arlo.  Just in case I can get my camera to work at night, I can still use it in the light!  Here is the screenshot.arlo screenshot.PNG

Did you try removing the battery for several seconds, and then reinserting it?

There's not much else you can do with the Pro camera, other than making sure the camera face is clean.

In the past, I'd suggest removing the camera from the account and resyncing it.  But a lot of users have found that they can't re-add it their account when trying this, so I now recommend against that.

Your error doesn't seem to be with the two-factor authentication, as your screenshot is showing a username/password error.

One thing you might try is switching to Edge for a few days, and see if the problem occurs there as well.

I did resync my camera.  I am letting it sit with no batteries in it incase it needs to dry more!  As far as my username/password, it is correct.  This is the message I am geting until I do the code from me email they send.  I always have it saved.  So, I may install the Arlo program on my Edge browser to see if it makes a difference.

I just added Arlo to my Edge browser.  This is now the same as my Chrome was a month ago.  It goes right thru the log in process without me clicking anything (this was after I did the two step verification for the new browser).  This happened for a while with Chrome, but I didn't have to verify every two days.  It was good for the 2 weeks.  Really strange how this program is working for me, however, I am hoping I can get my infrared to work again.
