Ready to pull trigger on arlo pro. Have Inet via cellphones via hotspot. Also have a brand new router in box, unused and don't need it with cell phone connectivity.
Can the Pro base station be connected with just a cell phone hotspot (5S) ??

The base needs an Ethernet port. You can use the phone as a hotspot but you'll need a WiFi extender with an Ethernet port to connect the base to the hotspot.

As above, you'd need a range extender that connects and stays permanently connected to your cell phone. Is there a cellphone that will remain near the base station full time? Just checking you're aware that the videos recorded are stored in the cloud so you'll need a permanent internet connection for them to work properly. If the phone leaves and the internet drops off, the cameras can record to a USB drive but you won't get any notifications of any videos and you'll have to unplug the USB drive and connect it to a computer to view whatever is recorded. Not an ideal situation
