Two Way Audio - VMS4430

We just installed VMS4430 and I have two questions. 1) Our model has two way audio; it doesn't appear to be working. We can hear audio from outside. I press the Mic button and press and hold the connect button to speak and it doesn't appear to work. 2) There are icons below the camera description of an ear, motion detection, internet receiption, battery life and a lock. WHAT DOES THE EAR signify? I was thinking it had something to do with two way audio. It is unhighlighted and I cannot highlight it. Any input is appreciated.

As noted here several times, low audio from the camera speaker (not the mic) is an issue using the app but not when using a browser. "They're working on it."

 

The ear icon tells you if the camera is set to record based on an audio event. Gray means inactive, black means active.
