So since last night around 5:30PM my cameras (5 of them) stopped recording (it's 11AM now).  In trying to access my cameras/base station I go into the Arlo site fine, get logged in.  But there are NO cameras listed.  I tried recycling the power and even trying to re-pair one of my cameras.  It blinked like it should but if it linked up, it's still not showing under my 'devices' tab.

What to do?

Hello Arlo Community,

We are currently investigating a report from a small handful of users where their cameras are no longer appearing in the Arlo portal. We have confirmed that reclaiming the Arlo Base Station and resyncing the camera(s) resolves this issue. If you run into any issues with adding the base station back to your existing Arlo account we recommend a factory reset and try again. For more information on how to factory reset the Arlo base station please visit: How can I reset my Arlo base station to the default values?

  1. After performing a factory reset on the Base Station, make sure the Power LED and Internet LEDs are solid green
  2. If first two LEDs are not solid green and need assistance troubleshooting please visit:https://kb.arlo.com/996/My-Arlo-base-station-is-offline-how-can-I-troubleshoot-it
  3. Once the Base Station is online, log into your Arlo account
  4. Click Add Device and follow the on screen instructions
  5. Sync the camera(s) to the Base Station. For instruction on how to sync your camera(s) please visit: https://kb.arlo.com/987/How-do-I-set-up-and-sync-my-Arlo-Wire-Free-cameras
  6. Your Arlo system should now be up and running with the ability to live stream, arm and record as expected
  7. You may need to recreate any custom modes and rules that you previously created. For more information about modes and rules please visit: https://kb.arlo.com/1019331/How-do-I-create-a-mode-with-different-rules-for-each-Arlo-Wire-Free-or-A...

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Best Regards,

Router firmware updated and now none of my cameras are present.

Log into your account and navigate to Settings > My Devices. Do you see any devices listed there? What is the LED behavior on your base station?

Thanks Dawn. I did reset the base station and reinstalled it. Things appear to be back to normal now. By the way, it was a Netgear R700 wireless router that was involved. Thanks for you for your help.

Hopefully you guys figure out WTF happened and stop it.  It's crazy to have a camera security system that wonks out on you.  So repairing works, but now I have to re create all my modes.  Thanks, thanks a lot.

Oh, and another thing... a customer shouldn't have to search online and in forums to figure out WTF is going on.  If we have an Arlo, you have our account info, and should send out a notification/email.  As I said, my cameras have been out for almost a day and now I find I have to re-pair them all.

I do not have MODE in the App. Lost access to all cameras.

Have RESET, POWER CYCLED the router numerous times and attempted to SYNC a camera several times WITHOUT SUCCESS.

Camera LED  on router is Orange.

Reset your base station not the router. You’ll need to add the base station afterward.I didn’t need to resync my cameras.

Sorry in previous reply I misspoke (novice to this technology) - I should have said BASE STATION and NOT ROUTER. I have RESET, POWER CYCLED the device called Base Station numerous times and the cameras will not SYNC.

The App still does not display Mode and the cameras will not sync - frustrated

I had to unplug my base, waited about 5 minutes and plugged it back in.  Then when you open the app/website, you still won't see your base.  You then have to 'add a device'.  First, add a base station (the one you just powered off/on).  Then you have to go one by one to add a device for all your cameras.  Then if you have custom modes you have to redo those as well.  Oh, and any settings you had on your camera (invert, night vision, etc) will have to be redone as well.

This isn't the first SNAFU for Netgear/Arlo and it's getting old.  I'm too invested in this POS system or I would look into Blink, it seems to be getting good reviews.  Any more of this crap and I'll just take the $$$ loss and switch.

Blink was recently purchased by Amazon. They cut the ties with Smartthings and it seems their IFTTT is barely working.
