Signal decreased from 2 bars to trace and shows amber or flashing LED

base vmb3010r2 cameras all H7.
base firmware 1.16.6.3_1109_e9ee661 ; cameras 1.4.293 ; windows7
Since about 2 months ago, signal has decreased from 2 bars to trace, and LED is often amber and flashing.  New batteries.  Cameras are about 50 ft away from base, and house configuration is not changed and I see nothing that should be obstructing.  Office is ground floor, cameras are front door and downstairs hall.
Is it just old?  Anything to be done?

Could be the result of a firmware update. STart by removing and resyncing the camera. Move it to a different location to see what happens.

Both cameras are unchanged in location, about 40 ft away, with no bulk metal having been interposed.  Both work, but the one bar signal goes from amber to yellow and back.

Hey jimmww,

 

Cameras can work when you have poor signal strength but they can possibly go out of range intermittently so you want to make sure you have full bars. You may want to try moving your Base Station closer to your cameras or moving your cameras closer to your Base Station. And make sure your Base Station is not too close to your router as it can cause some interference.
