Restart base unit remotely

How can the base unit be restarted after a power outage remotely?

1. Look at a UPS so the base doesn't have a power outage. Connect the router to this too

or

2. Get an internet connected smart outlet eg Wemo Mini. This should come back online when power is restored. You can then toggle it off and on again to power cycle your base
