All 3 lights come on green, devices syncs, but it won't connect with my phone nor my laptop. I see an internet connection (wireless) available that is NTGR_VMB_1509480860 which requires a password to connect to and I don't have a pw.

Not sure exactly what you're attempting but there's no way to access the base or cameras except by the app or browser pointed to https://arlo.netgear.com.
