Remove internet connection and store locally on USB

This is a thought I had if I remove the internet connection ( im not worried about seeing the house live each day) and only had a USB plugged into the Pro base station. Would this improve the lag of the camera record as it would not have to go to the cloud but direct to the usb.

prob not...and also you would have no way to command the base to any changes if needed/wanted
