This looks like a common fault. Cracked and open circuit ribbon cable, stops charging from happening.

Hi StephenB, bought system in October 2017. It looks like it has fatigued at the sharpest bend point, just after the heat shrink. Perhaps the heat shrink could have been a little longer and 'set' with the bend in the crack location to allow the bigger loop to take the strain off the cracking point. This happens a lot just beyond the strain relief.

How old is the camera?
