I'm still using my old Pro cameras with my new Pro5S.  I decided to paint one of the old Pro cameras.  I did taped the face (black plastic portion and the lens).  There are some overspray around the edges.  That's on me.

I tested it, and seems to work fine.  No issues, even in the dark.

I did a search here and someone mentioned (Pro3 section) PIR sensor is behind the black plastic.  And something like paint with thinner will damage it.

That makes me worry as I was thinking about cleaning up the overspray paint with paint thinner products.

Thoughts and recommendations?

1.  Just leave it alone, as it works fine.

2.  Pro cameras are not the same as Pro3 so ok to use thinner to remove the paint?

3.  Try to scrap off the paint with a plastic tool.  I may scratch the plastic.

Try running the motion detection test.  If motion detection is satisfactory, then I'd leave it alone.

As above, if it's working, it's fine. Overspray on the edges won't hurt anything since the sensors aren't in that area.
