Recently, the format on my Arlo app changed on my phone. Instead of just asking to arm or disarm, it now says arm away, arm home or standby. I don't remember asking for an upgrade. The old way was working just fine. I can access the cameras through my phone but I cannot receive motion detection notifications even though I turned on motion detection. What is going on?

But instead of just checking the rule in the mode(s) you are using, I suggest deleting all the rules in Arm Home and Arm Away, and then adding them back. If that doesn't help, then proceed with the other steps they suggest.

It's not an "upgrade". Arlo re-engineered their user interface a couple years ago, and has gradually been migrating folks using the old interface to the new one.

What mode is the system in? (Arm Away, Arm Home, or Standby)? Standby should be the same as "disarm".
You can see the current mode on the dashboard screen. It is shown in color, the other two are gray.

Can you make a manual recording while livestreaming the camera? Then see that recording in the feed?

Yes. I can. It works that way. I just cannot receive notifications. I am just wondering if I need to do something else.

Are you seeing motion recordings in the "Feed"? Or are those also missing?
(Sometimes people get recordings w/o notification).

Again, I do not know if you are
- missing both notifications and motion triggered recordings
- missing notifications but getting motion triggered recordings
