New app blocks local recording from hub, can not get past the subscriber bought because local usb now blocks
is this not self monitoring now?

What model hub do you have? Only the two smarthubs (VMB4540 and VMB5000) allow access to the local recordings in the app. The VMB3xxx hubs don't support recording at all. The VMB4000 and VMB4500 support local recording, but the only way to see those recordings is to eject the storage using the app, and connecting it to a PC.
A lot of folks with legacy cameras like the original Pro and Pro 2 are thinking their recordings are local - when in fact they are stored in the Arlo Cloud. That sometimes has gotten messed up when accounts are migrated to "Feed". If that is your situation, try removing one of the cameras from the account and adding it back. That normally fixed the problem for all the cameras.
