I have all the trouble shooting I can find and it still won't work.
Purchased a Arlo Pro add on camera and it won't sync to my current base station VMB4000, cuurently I have 3 cameras with that system that work.
I have restarted, changed batteries, taken the current 3 camera off and tried only adding the new camera and nothing seems to work. Can anyone help please. Thanks Andrew

It might be a defective camera - I just returned one Arlo Pro for the same reason. The replacement took me all of 1 minute to sync and about 2 minutes to update the firmware. Consider returning it or Go to Customer Support if you can't return it.
That being said. here is how I synced the replacement.
Using my phone app, I I went to devices. At the bottom of the page, it said Add a New Device. I clicked on the button and followed the instructions. I brought the camera within about two feet of the base and pressed the sync button. The third LED on the base started blinking. I then pressed the sync button on the camera and held it down for two seconds. The blue LED on the camera started slowly blinking blue for a few seconds. I then continued following the instructions and clicked on finish. When the blue LED stopped flashing, I looked at my devices and the camera had been added.
If you want, tell me what the blue LED on the camera is doing if anything at all. The defective camera would not light up the blue LED.

It might be defective, as I have done all the below you mentioned. All the lights work as they should, except the rapid blue flashing light when it syncs, because it doesn't get that far to sync. Thank you for your advice.

The rapid blue light just means that the camera has power, (not sure but I think it means that it is plugged in). When the camera syncs, the blue LED will blink slowly.
Return it for a different one.

Try and sync that camera while it's plugged into the charger. Remove and refit the battery first just for good measure.

OK. Very last thing. Try and reposition the base. Even if it's only a short distance using a longer ethernet cable.
Some have had interference issue from other nearby devices which prevented syncing.

Tried that again and nothing still. I think I'll return it. Thanks for your time to respond.
