My Arlo Cameras Stopped Sending Notifications & Recording Motion

I changed batteries in my cameras and now they wont detect motion or send notifications. I can view live recordings and have reset the base unit remotely. Still no notifications or recordings.

arm the cameras and then verify that the 'motion detect' icon is black on the live view screen ( running man or ball with lines icon )
