What does this mean? Arlo pro was working fine but has said this for last 24 hrs. How do I correct problem

Purchased 4 camera system 24 hours ago. Worked for about 18 and now the app shows "updating status" error. Tried everything. Nothing works. Another 24 hours and it will go back to the store. Terrible!

Both the app and a browser?  Have you tried the other?  Power cycling the base may help as well as force closing the app and reopening.  Check your firmware versions, too, against what's listed in the Firmware Release Notes section here.
