Is there another AC outside power adapter we can use and plug in "outside" after recall of VMA4700?

Late 2017 Netgear recalled their outside AC Power adapter (VMA4700) for the Arlo Pro.  The need for recharging batteries was a thing of the past, until that happened.  Especially the outside environment where mine are mounted.

Has Netgear fixed the problem they were having with the VMA4700 and started selling a new model of AC power adapter?  If not when will that happen?

Is there an alternative for continous power to the cameras mounted outdoors?  I have an AC power outlet mounted about a foot from my cameras which was perfect outdoor setup.

Officially no there isn't until Arlo comes out with a replacement cable, but noone knows when that will be. Unofficially...?
