Do you mean while the drive is still plugged into the base?  That would be an interesting test - let us know how it works.

TMK, the device must be ejected from the base first and then you can view the mp4 files on another device... not while installed

Most BT usbs that I know of don't have memory to write to.

VLC player works great for this
