Trying to grant access to a family member. When they receive the email it only has a button to "create account". When they click that it says log in or create an account. They log in and it says that the request has timed out. This was done within a minute of receiving the request. How do we resolve this issue?

I think the timeout is on the two-factor authentication, and not the invite request itself.

Try using email verification ("try another verification method", which should give them a bit more time.

I think the issue is because there is already an account that they are trying to loggin too and not "creating" a new account.  Either way every time you log in to the account via the link in the grant access email, you get the timed out message.  We already tried changing the authentification setting to email and then tried with it set for iphone.  Also tried logging in on an iphone and also on a computer.  Still get the same time out notification.

No, that works (at least in a PC browser).

It would be useful to see if they can log into their account w/o clicking on the "create account" link.  The link also contains a token that is used to complete the friend invite.
