The people I invite are able to log in with their own email account and see all the cameras in the system but they get a message on each camera saying they are off line and the guests can't view the video.

After you granted access, did you toggle on the cameras they are allowed to see?

Yes. I granted access. I have 3 cameras and 2 guests and granted full access to one guest but not the other but all 3 camera check boxes are checked for both guests but they still can't view video.

They can't view recordings or they can't view live video?

If it's live video, are they trying to use the app on a Galaxy S8?

Can they view videos via their account if they log in via a web browser eg Google Chrome and log into arlo.netgear.com?

They can't view live videos. Tried the arlo web site and can't get any further then the site wanting to download the arlo app. They can't view cameras on the site either. One guest phone is a galaxy S8. The other guest has an iPhone. I don't know what model.

You can set the mobile browser to use the desktop version of the site by using the browser's menu. However, live view won't work since browser access requires Flash. They/you can use a computer browser that has Flash enabled (you may need to use the browser's menu to enable it since recent upgrades turn Flash off by default) to see if it works there.

They may need to try logging out and back in or force closing the app to get things working properly. A restart of the phone would do the same thing, too.

BTW, does it work for you but not your invitees?
