I am using the Arlo Pro model H8, 11504 firmware.
I found that the camera is unable to detect any movement (large or minor) if it is placed behind a thin mesh covering (IE. from a window). I am also having significant issues with Arlo Q not detecting motion from individuals walking by, or cars pulling into the driveway (behind the mesh).
I have tried changing the camera position to a location that is behind a window without any net covering, and still it does not detect large movements across the camera.
Currently I have both cameras up to 100% motion detection. What is the issue?
I may have to bring the cameras back if they continue to not detect and record.

First the Arlo Pro will not detect thru glass while the Q camera will...
The mesh you mention MAY be inhibiting the proper sense of the PRO but it really shouldn't effect the Q.
I would move them to an open location and do some testing to see how they operate away from the mesh and then if you find them not to your liking return if still wanted

Ah I was not aware that glass is an issue, that is an unfortunate issue.
Will a update be released to work around this issue, or is it a permanent development?

Likely permanent since glass blocks the IR needed for motion detection.
